How To Apply: THE MODERN CONDUCTOR WORKSHOP

Submission deadline is April 3, 2026  

This workshop will be limited to a maximum of 10 Fellows and no more than 6 Auditors.  

To apply, please submit the following to info@lafci.org:

  1. A YouTube video link of your conducting of your choice, preferably from the perspective of the orchestra (performance or rehearsal are acceptable).

  2. A current CV outlining your professional musical experience.

  3. Online application form.

  4. $20 application fee (see below for payment options)

Applicants will be notified of application decisions no later than April 12, 2026.   

The $20 application fee can be paid via PayPal (if choosing PayPal, please be aware they will add an additional service fee), wire transfer (please write to info@lafci.org to request wire instructions) or check (mailed to LAFCI 5420 Driftwood St. #1 Oxnard, California 93035). Please email materials to info@lafci.org using the following format: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME_MODERN CONDUCTOR in the subject line. All materials must be submitted no later than 11:59pm Pacific Time (Los Angeles) on April 3, 2026. Selected participants will be notified via email no later than April 12, 2026. If accepted, 50% of the tuition fee must be received no later than May 1, 2026 and the remaining balance no later than June 1, 2026.
