Designed for the orchestral musician and audio mixer interested in learning how to perform in a recording environment, the Studio Intensive is a 4-day immersive workshop and recording experience providing guidance from Hollywood's legendary studio musicians at the famed Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles.

This workshop is open to all orchestral musicians as well as audio mixers.

Applicants will be notified of application decisions no later than May 15, 2026.   

The $20 application fee can be paid via PayPal (if choosing PayPal, please be aware they will add an additional service fee), wire transfer (please write to info@lafci.org to request wire instructions) or check (mailed to LAFCI 2331 S. Victoria Ave. Oxnard, California 93035). Please email materials to info@lafci.org using the following format: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME_INSTRUMENT NAME in the subject line. All materials must be submitted no later than 11:59pm Pacific Time (Los Angeles) on May 1, 2026. Selected participants will be notified via email no later than May 15, 2026. If accepted, 50% of the tuition fee must be received no later than May 30, 2026 and the remaining balance no later than July 10, 2026.
