Designed for the contemporary media composer, The Intensive 2.0 is an immersive eight-day program featuring three distinctive recording sessions led by some of Hollywood’s most accomplished and experienced professional musicians.

Please submit the following requested materials via email to info@lafci.org no later than January 11, 2026 11:59pm Los Angeles time.

• A current CV outlining your professional musical experience (pdf file preferred)

• A mock-up or recording of one of your compositions that best represents your work (vocal or instrumental pieces are both accepted)

• Application Form (below)

While not required, a notated score of your submitted composition is strongly encouraged. For guidance on score presentation, please refer to the LAFCI Part/Score Formatting Recommendations available in the Resource Center. Applications not containing a notated score will still receive full consideration. This workshop has no age limit but participants must be at least 18 years of age by the start of the workshop.

Submission deadline is January 11, 2026.

Applicants will be notified of application decisions no later than January 25, 2026.   

The $20 application fee can be paid via PayPal (if choosing PayPal, please be aware they will add an additional service fee), wire transfer (please write to info@lafci.org to request wire instructions) or check (mailed to LAFCI 5420 Driftwood St. #1 Oxnard, California 93035). Please email materials to info@lafci.org using the following format: LAST NAME, FIRST NAME_THE INTENSIVE in the subject line. All materials must be submitted no later than 11:59pm Pacific Time (Los Angeles) on January 11, 2026. Selected participants will be notified via email no later than January 25, 2026. If accepted, 50% of the tuition fee must be received no later than February 27, 2026 and the remaining balance no later than March 27, 2026.
